Flower girls
There is nothing more sweet than a little cute flower girl in the bridal party, often they are shy and bewildered with all the strangers watching them and frequently there are tears and reluctance to do what is expected of them. For flower girls under the age of five it is best to give them a small and dainty posy to carry perhaps of small rose buds that match the theme colours of the bridal party or a little silk flower pomander which they can keep later, it is light to carry and not at all fussy.

Even a little fairy wand with ribbons and tassels instead of the flowers is cute. Flower baskets can be cumbersome and if they swing it at the wrong time the petals can be lost! Flower baskets for older girls are fine, but I find it difficult to source pretty baskets which is a shame.

Flower baskets for petals are a good idea for throwing after the ceremony. Always check that the Church/Venue allow petals to be thrown in the areas close to the church. Older flower girls can carry a smaller posy of what the bride's maids are carrying.
